Sam's post match comments.
Whose fault will it be?

Who didn't follow instructions?

I reckon Amalfitano will take the blame.

You?

Re: Sam's post match comments.
It really doesn't matter what he says in a post match interview, it's what he says to the players in the privacy of the dressing room. Unfortunately probably the first thing he said there was, "Kevin your playing next week". Allardyce is solid but too cautious, he will keep you up but never win anything. If West a Ham want to move to the next level they need a coach who can mould a consistent style of play and inbed it in the club. Southampton and Swansea have done that, but maybe it's easier to achieve moving up the leagues like they have done. Everything about Sam is short term, I fear he will never bring a young West Ham produced player into the team. If he'd had his way we'd have Connor Wickham rather than Sakho.

Surely what should be the final straw for Sullivan (forget Gold as I'm not sure he knows what century he's in)

Fixtures and injuries?

Jesus, do other teams not play games then? Or get injuries?

Did he make any veiled comments about Carroll's injury being a blessing in disguise which has been suggested by some fans

Allardyce defended his team, though, and insisted they could not cope with a packed fixture list.

Absolute pathetic excuse.... how on earth would those players coped 30-40 years ago with sometimes 60-70 games a season on shit mud stained pitches.... with one sub if you was lucky....never ever heard excuses then about packed fixtures.... fucking laughable

Re: Sam's post match comments.
So why if we are so short of bodies was more not done to keep
players or get some in? Zarate could have been fit by now (our fault he wasn't) even keeping Ravel may have been beneficial... he's in the shop window and we'd have lost peanuts not terminating his contract at this late stage.

Can't use fitness levels, fixture pileups as an excuse. West Brom were in same boat. And hey if Sam hadn't run AC into the ground playing him EVERY game for 90 mins on his return maybe he'd still be fit - although doubtful

Allardyce defended his team, though, and insisted they could not cope with a packed fixture list.

“Fans get disappointed because there’s 6,500 who have travelled up here and we have built the FA Cup to be one of our big successes this year,” he said.

“When you have travelled this way and the performance has not been as good as they have experienced for most of this season they express their disappointment.

“I am going to defend the players because we couldn’t cope with the injury list and fixture list and it has not given us the level we can play at.

“I can’t afford to get disappointed in things like that, it’s about me supporting the players. They have given everything they could.

“It wasn’t enough but they have done their best. They have given so much in such a short period of time. They were dead on their feet.”

Allardyce also revealed his disappointment at substitute Amalfitano’s reaction after the former Albion loanee was dismissed for pushing Chris Brunt in the face just 10 minutes after coming on.

He added: “It’s irresponsible and the other thing is we are so short of bodies, so the last thing we need is another suspension. I am sure Morgan will be disappointed as well. We will have to cope.”

Has Sam ever won anything?

Ooohh, it was coming? I see. We should have all expected that then.

What the fuck will we do if we ever qualify for Europe, if we 're fucked just playing league games?

Or the manager is talking utter bollocks, as per usual.

So West Brom can salvage a 2-2 draw after being 2 down, win on Wednesday and still manage to compete today. Wow them energy levels in the Midlands must be better bottled than the south.

Zarate, Vas Te and Morrison all gone, no replacements, only 3 centre halfs on the books, and our best player is always injured, no plan b and our captain has the turning circle of an ocean liner!! Not a good situation!!

Yep, fantastic effort that, no wonder they were tired.

Manager claims players are knackered.
Its his fault - lack of preparation, lack of awareness and planning for a PL season, lack of cover - all down to the manager.

We had the fresh gazelles NOLAN & NOBLE in midfield who didn't play at Southampton
Tiredness is almost always the last excuse of teams that aren't good enough. Most of our players have played about a dozen less games than regulars in many teams and West Brom have had a similar schedule

Re: Sam's post match comments.
From the Standard:

"I would say it (the defeat) was probably coming based on what we've had to cope with over the last few weeks and I think it told on us today, there's no doubt about that," he said.

"I have to give West Brom a lot of credit - they were very good. I don't want to take any credit away from them, particularly the front two today, but I look at the players and there was not the energy we know they've got based on all they've done in the last few weeks."

On Amalfitano's dismissal, Allardyce added: "It's unprofessional, isn't it? The punishment is laid down in our code of conduct and by the Football League.

"That will be dealt with, as always, internally and we'll move on, but I don't think it's made any difference to the result."

Re: Sam's post match comments.
To be fair we would have been knackered because of the Southampton match. Chasing shadows with practically 9 men on the pitch. I think it did show because we just wasn't closing down west brom when they had the ball.

But then again that's what happens when you set out to defend against teams like Southampton and end up struggling to survive because you think you can't outplay them. You reep what you sow.
